Sitting alone watching the water

[Cadrai]

Cadrai sat on the flint bank that led into the river and under the waterfall. It was night, and the moon reflected clearly on the shimmering surface. The clear water poured down the flint hill, and some rock flowers grew down its face. Water rushed past them, making the pinks purples and blues shine. It was silent, except for the marine music.

Cadrai just sat serenly listing with her eyes closed. The alpha wasnt here, so she was safe from her feeling of love to him, and safe from being expelled from the lands. She breathed in the fresh air and the smell of clensing. Aaahhh.... Life was Blissfully calm.

She knew then den was behind her, but she let the calm still flood and relax her. She was just sat. She was ready to run if she heard any wolves coming, but she was still alone.

[Shadow]

Shadow was hinding in the shadows of the waterfall. He watched the fae just sit there. She had come far into the lands, and was close to the den. She also didn't howl for him.
*Who are you, and why are you so far into the pack lands?* He said jumping out of the shadows at her. His pelt shined as the light bounced of the snow onto he fur. He stood over her, showing her that he was the alpha. His head and tail were held high.

[Cadrai]

She turned, the feeling of calm and relaxation immediately drain from her mind. Her ears pinned back and she rolled over, showing her vulnerable underbelly. Her tail tucked between her legs and she whined.

A long silence between them elapsed, when she clicked. This was Shadow... The one she liked. A small voice escaped her maw, bearing the words
'I am Cadrai. I have always lived here, since my pack were destroyed. An elder had told me before he died just to come here.'

She again whined, letting pain of the past relive in her soul.
'One day, I then heard a howl. A claiming howl. You then had walked past the bush, and I saw you. Since then I have always liked you. This was my only refuge. I am sorry for disturbing. If there is but one space in your pack, I would hope to fill it?'

She shut her maw abruptly. Maybe he didnt get her. What she meant was to join the pack... But still. She just let another silence begin. Water was the only sound now filling the air.

[Shadow]

Shadow smiled to himself. A fae in his pack, right at breeding season. The thought made him jump with joy, but he resisited. *Um. Stand up stright. I want to have a look at you* He let a smile show on his lips.

[Cadrai]

She saw the smile and nodded. She stood up tall and let her head hold high, but not as high as the alphas. Her hormones were killing her. She had always liked him, and now he seemed happy with her...

Cadrais lips parted and gave an even larger smile, teeth showing. Her tail just waved behind her.
'So, I forget, how long have you been leader here? These are some nice lands.'

[Shadow]

*For just a few days. Why didn't you try to claim the lands?* Shadow walked around here. She looked strong and healthy. She would make a fine alphess. *If it weren't for breeding season I would be pissed off. And I wouldn't be doing this. You may have the Alphess postition, but upset me in anyway, you will be demoted. Do it again, and you will be chased off these lands or killed.* He walked up to the front of her, he licked her muzzle. *come back to the Den with me. It is the main place where we meet at.* He turned and headed down a trail back to the den.
